Options On One Dollar Stocks - 0ne Specific Reason

Kind of a dumb topic however it's real life unfolding as we speak. How is a little marijuana company named Canopy Growth doing and what might change in the companies near term future? Here is a chart of it's stock price. I don't need to ask Ai what the challenges are for a company like this going forward. Here are two or three big ones. A company can't keep going on operating if it keeps losing money. Others in the same industry may be feeling the same pressures. If it also has an overeseas operation which was meant to bring in money and it is not That's another concern. What are they learning from the experience? Are new opportunities opening up? Once again it's a learning curve for everyone, including even people like watching it from the sidelines. I don't follow it all that closely but it's fair to say they are in challenging times. Vinfast Hits The Lottery! And AMC. "Action On One Week Five Dollar Options"

This post is easy to write. It's also something skeptics of option trading should read.
Look at how all on the options exploded on this one. Here is why. Both of these articles were from Nov26th and 27th.
Why the time delay in having this stock pop is something I don't understand. Back on Sept 5th and Oct 27th I did I blogs on this stock. Go back and read them. Both times I ended these blogs by saying "Do your homework on this one". Read my blogs about playing options on $5.00 stocks. Here now is how Vinfast closed the day.
Now look at how the five series of Calls closed on December 5th (with only one trading day of life left in them).
Profits on options on five dollar stocks come and go quickly. Here is a quick look at another company with $5.00 options that expire tommorow which had a few hours of glory in the last two hours of trading today. AMC Entertainment.

A Fireside Chat - One Year Options and Thirty Day Options. Which is Better?

Some say to think small, not big. Trying to play Disney options is thinking big. It is a stock slightly out of favor. If we start with it's a three year chart, we will see it is down by about 50% over that period of time. Now it's one year chart. If the stock can break 110 in early 2024 the sky is the limit. It does have a lot of moving parts so anything could happen. Look at these Calls options one year out. One year in options buys a lot of time.They look reasonable. If the stock ever inched up to the $105.00 price level in the three or four months these options would jump up in price by about 50%. Even more if they had really good news. Yet it's the "what-if" aspect of the equation that castes such a trade in doubt. "What if" stories just don't cut it. There are to many variables in play. Another Blog On "Vinfast"

There is so much to read about this companies history online. Do your own homework. Their success is not dependent on what ends up happening with their sales in North America. They are nimble. There are plenty of auto factories all over the world now for sale they can acquire. They have dabbled in Australia. Having access to money to keep going doesn't seem to be their problem. Rivian also seems to enjoy this advantage. Vinfast is currently building a new plant in India which could employ thousands of people. That's an emerging new market. New relationships are being built and new investors will be coming onboard. Are option players looking at this stock? Not really if we look at these "one-month-out" Calls.
