Ford Options At The Start Of The Week

Ford one week options. It's kind of random. Throwing money into one week Call options on a stock that was down last week. Here is how the 12 series of Calls are priced going into Monday's opening market. . If the stock has a good day these options could go to $.90. It's not much of a trade however if you're using a discount broker to do your trading it could be a good "in-and-out" situation. It could also be a real drag if the stock starts to tank lower. Now look at this recent five day chart on Ford. I used it in one of my previous blogs. Ford is known to jump on good news. Now this question? Does the simplicity of my thinking scare you? Vinfast Hits The Lottery! And AMC. "Action On One Week Five Dollar Options"

This post is easy to write. It's also something skeptics of option trading should read.
Look at how all on the options exploded on this one. Here is why. Both of these articles were from Nov26th and 27th.
Why the time delay in having this stock pop is something I don't understand. Back on Sept 5th and Oct 27th I did I blogs on this stock. Go back and read them. Both times I ended these blogs by saying "Do your homework on this one". Read my blogs about playing options on $5.00 stocks. Here now is how Vinfast closed the day.
Now look at how the five series of Calls closed on December 5th (with only one trading day of life left in them).
Profits on options on five dollar stocks come and go quickly. Here is a quick look at another company with $5.00 options that expire tommorow which had a few hours of glory in the last two hours of trading today. AMC Entertainment.

A Fireside Chat - One Year Options and Thirty Day Options. Which is Better?

Some say to think small, not big. Trying to play Disney options is thinking big. It is a stock slightly out of favor. If we start with it's a three year chart, we will see it is down by about 50% over that period of time. Now it's one year chart. If the stock can break 110 in early 2024 the sky is the limit. It does have a lot of moving parts so anything could happen. Look at these Calls options one year out. One year in options buys a lot of time.They look reasonable. If the stock ever inched up to the $105.00 price level in the three or four months these options would jump up in price by about 50%. Even more if they had really good news. Yet it's the "what-if" aspect of the equation that castes such a trade in doubt. "What if" stories just don't cut it. There are to many variables in play. News on Polestar , Lucid (Trading After A Reverse Stock Split) Plus Ford News And Vinfast

Look at the one year chart on Polester. Now it's one month chart. What's going on? It's confusing. It was down $.36 cents on the week. If you want you can spend $.20 or $.25 on Puts and hope that the company goes under in the next five or six months. They recently raised more money by releasing more shares so it's running out of options. You can't run at a loss forever and this news will most likely scare off potential new car buyers. This actually is a low number of outstanding Put options. The consensus seems to be that it is not game over yet. Lucid started trading this week on a "one-for-ten" reverse stock split. Here is its one week chart. It was down $1.39 on the week. It's also going to struggle. Both of these stocks have challenges ahead. On a more positive note here is a chart that looks kind of perky.
