Walmart And Costco

It's Thursday morning on January 8th. Walmart opened down. But look at how Costco opened up. This time I am showing it's five day chart. A first, no one really new why but then news like below surfaced. I was also searching for the news as I knew something had to be up. At one point in the morning Costco was up over $40.00. So Walmart is dropping and Costco is really shooting up. At some point Walmart has to turn around to catch some of this positive spinoff. Look at how the 100 series of Call options on Walmart shifted gears at 10:00 a.m.. Do these two stocks always trade in harmony with each other? Obviously not but there comes a time when some sort of a cause-and- effect becomes apparent. At exactly 10:00 a.m. this morning there was a realization that Walmart had to change it's direction to stay in tune with what it's big brother Costco was doing. At that time the 110 series of Calls which would be expiring the next day traded down to $90.00 per contract. Now...

Boeing. Last Week Was Ugly. It's Getting To Look Pretty Cheap

Look at this chart.
Strikes and doors not working properly but it's amazing their planes fly millions of passengers around safely ever year. Now a look at it's one week chart.
Good luck trying to play the Calls on it last week as it dropped $11.49 on the week. It wasn't really a Trump related happening. It was just a bad week. I have mentioned in previous blogs how some people buy Calls on Boeing on or near the closing on Friday to then sell on Monday morning openings. Now this. Boeings one day trading chart on a Monday November 18th.
Now the trading in the 140 series of Calls.
Boeing is up again the following morning (a Tuesday) with the DJIA down over 300 points. Remember the stock lost $11.49 last week. Do you think it will now continue to go up?
Now Friday Nov 22nd. This is the day these options expire and this is shortly before noon. Now would at this be time in the morning be a good time to be getting out?

Waiting For A Drop On The Opening On Bad News - Eli Lilly

Here is the bad news. The company is Eli Lilly. How bad is this news? Well look at it trading in the premarkets. So what do I think? I think the news is a setback of sorts, but not really all that bad. The stock is going to open lower, that's a given. It's like trying to play Boeing after an announcement that an airplane has crashed. So the stock is going to crash and it might have a small rebound and then it's going to slide down some more. A test of sorts will happen sometime in the afternoon. It might stock falling but then where will it go from there? The best case scenario is a recognition that investors got it all wrong and the stock ends up flat on the day. Yet there might be more of a downward dumping of the stock on the close followed by a selloff on tomorrows opening. Should option players be jumping in to play the upside on next week's Calls? Another Blog On "Vinfast"

There is so much to read about this companies history online. Do your own homework. Their success is not dependent on what ends up happening with their sales in North America. They are nimble. There are plenty of auto factories all over the world now for sale they can acquire. They have dabbled in Australia. Having access to money to keep going doesn't seem to be their problem. Rivian also seems to enjoy this advantage. Vinfast is currently building a new plant in India which could employ thousands of people. That's an emerging new market. New relationships are being built and new investors will be coming onboard. Are option players looking at this stock? Not really if we look at these "one-month-out" Calls.
