Tesla And One Of The Busiest Option Games In Town.

Here we are on a Friday morning with the DJIA index down over 1,000 points in the last three days of trading. Now look at Tesla's one and five day trading charts. Tesla was bombarded all week about news of autonomous driving. The narrative was relatively upbeat. Now at look at this series of Calls. Might Tesla suprise to the upside on the day? Now this, how the indexes are doing at 11:15 a.m. They are only a tad better than when we first looked at them. .. Knowing that Friday afternoons can be a rough ride do you take a modest profit and get out? We did afterall miss the low of the day in this option series and part of the mini ensuing rebound. I would. Now this at 1:41 p.m. just under two hours later. The party for these Calls is over. This was a bad week for the markets. A short part two. Can you buy Calls on Tesla at $2:00 p.m. that expire at $3:00 p.m. That's the time of the day these options expire on a Friday even though the markets keep trading to 4:00 p.m.. Here th...

Boeing. Last Week Was Ugly. It's Getting To Look Pretty Cheap

Look at this chart.
Strikes and doors not working properly but it's amazing their planes fly millions of passengers around safely ever year. Now a look at it's one week chart.
Good luck trying to play the Calls on it last week as it dropped $11.49 on the week. It wasn't really a Trump related happening. It was just a bad week. I have mentioned in previous blogs how some people buy Calls on Boeing on or near the closing on Friday to then sell on Monday morning openings. Now this. Boeings one day trading chart on a Monday November 18th.
Now the trading in the 140 series of Calls.
Boeing is up again the following morning (a Tuesday) with the DJIA down over 300 points. Remember the stock lost $11.49 last week. Do you think it will now continue to go up?
Now Friday Nov 22nd. This is the day these options expire and this is shortly before noon. Now would at this be time in the morning be a good time to be getting out?

A Fireside Chat - One Year Options and Thirty Day Options. Which is Better?

Some say to think small, not big. Trying to play Disney options is thinking big. It is a stock slightly out of favor. If we start with it's a three year chart, we will see it is down by about 50% over that period of time. Now it's one year chart. If the stock can break 110 in early 2024 the sky is the limit. It does have a lot of moving parts so anything could happen. Look at these Calls options one year out. One year in options buys a lot of time.They look reasonable. If the stock ever inched up to the $105.00 price level in the three or four months these options would jump up in price by about 50%. Even more if they had really good news. Yet it's the "what-if" aspect of the equation that castes such a trade in doubt. "What if" stories just don't cut it. There are to many variables in play. Another Blog On "Vinfast"

There is so much to read about this companies history online. Do your own homework. Their success is not dependent on what ends up happening with their sales in North America. They are nimble. There are plenty of auto factories all over the world now for sale they can acquire. They have dabbled in Australia. Having access to money to keep going doesn't seem to be their problem. Rivian also seems to enjoy this advantage. Vinfast is currently building a new plant in India which could employ thousands of people. That's an emerging new market. New relationships are being built and new investors will be coming onboard. Are option players looking at this stock? Not really if we look at these "one-month-out" Calls.
