Tesla is Down About $20.00 In Pre-Markets On A Friday Morning After Losing $20.00 On The Previous Day

Here it is. What are we looking at? We are looking at Tesla's one day trading action yesterday which was a day when the markets had a big decline. We are also looking at the "bid and ask" on Tesla in the premarkets this morning which is a Friday. A bid now of "383.60 ask $383.70". It's unusual the spread it so tight making it in theory a good time to make an "at market" trade. I would be more inclined to purchase a $390.00 series of Puts and bail thirty minutes or so after the opening. It's 7:57 a.m, as I write this. In the past I have witnessed these exaggerated premarket declines shrivel up to near nothing as the opening bell approaches. Is that going to happen this time? Tesla now at 8:36 a.m. in the premarkets. Notice only a small price change upwards? Now at 9:20 a.m. and things have not changed. That is a strong indication that things are not going to get better. Ford - An Earning Report

Ford is going electric, that's the buzz. We all know the story. Earnings just came out on the stock and the Call options jumped on the opening. If you were playing options you had to get out just after the opening. With option plays on earning reports that's usually the way to best way play them. First, I will show the prior day's action. There was a gap down on the opening and 94 million shares traded. That's a large number. People were cashing out after recent good times.
Now here is a chart of Ford the next day and here is how two option series traded. Buy in at the close and sell out just after the opening. Look at how high each series traded up to just after the opening. The earning numbers were not all that great but it's the buzz about going electric.

Some say to think small, not big. Trying to play Disney options is thinking big. It is a stock slightly out of favor. Another Blog On "Vinfast"

There is so much to read about this companies history online. Do your own homework. Their success is not dependent on what ends up happening with their sales in North America. They are nimble. There are plenty of auto factories all over the world now for sale they can acquire. They have dabbled in Australia. Having access to money to keep going doesn't seem to be their problem. Rivian also seems to enjoy this advantage. Vinfast is currently building a new plant in India which could employ thousands of people. That's an emerging new market. New relationships are being built and new investors will be coming onboard. Are option players looking at this stock? Not really if we look at these "one-month-out" Calls. Waiting For A Drop On The Opening On Bad News - Eli Lilly

Here is the bad news. The company is Eli Lilly. How bad is this news? Well look at it trading in the premarkets. So what do I think? I think the news is a setback of sorts, but not really all that bad. The stock is going to open lower, that's a given. It's like trying to play Boeing after an announcement that an airplane has crashed. So the stock is going to crash and it might have a small rebound and then it's going to slide down some more. A test of sorts will happen sometime in the afternoon. It might stock falling but then where will it go from there? The best case scenario is a recognition that investors got it all wrong and the stock ends up flat on the day. Yet there might be more of a downward dumping of the stock on the close followed by a selloff on tomorrows opening. Should option players be jumping in to play the upside on next week's Calls?
