Vinfast and Nio

"Vinfast" blogs tend to cause a spike in readership. The last blog I did on VinFast was back on April 1st last year entitled " Another Blog on "Vinfast". At that time the stock was trading at $4.70. Now it's at $4.54 up $.44 cents on the day.The company seems to have strong backers with 2.34 billion shares outstanding with 97% of them held by insiders. That gives them the ability to control the stock's price. The second company I want to talk about is "Nio". The last blog I did on Nio was back on March 10th called "Nio, Could This Be The Real Thing". Nio at that time was trading at $5.69. Before that I did a blog on it on February 5th entitled "What do you think is going to happen to "NIO" On The Opening". The stock at that time was trading at $4.71. It has 2.53 billion shares outstanding with 0% owned by insiders and 14.8% owned by institions. In contrast Ford has about 4 billion shares outstanding however they p...

Can you see how as the day progressed it dipped down to the support level of the $210.00 range? Here is its one day chart.

Lucky in all this action are all those individuals who purchased one day Puts on Telsa in the first few minutes of trading. Look at how these Puts reacted. The lows of the day happened in the first few minutes of trading. Look at the pecentage gains.
In the last example a $1.00 option went to $190.00 in one day. Catching one trade like this could make up for twenty bad trades. What's all this talk of Ai trading? Moves like this could blow up the exchanges if thousand of trading platforms could recognize this could happen. This was one of the best option trading opportunities of the year.

A Fireside Chat - One Year Options and Thirty Day Options. Which is Better?

Some say to think small, not big. Trying to play Disney options is thinking big. It is a stock slightly out of favor. If we start with it's a three year chart, we will see it is down by about 50% over that period of time. Now it's one year chart. If the stock can break 110 in early 2024 the sky is the limit. It does have a lot of moving parts so anything could happen. Look at these Calls options one year out. One year in options buys a lot of time.They look reasonable. If the stock ever inched up to the $105.00 price level in the three or four months these options would jump up in price by about 50%. Even more if they had really good news. Yet it's the "what-if" aspect of the equation that castes such a trade in doubt. "What if" stories just don't cut it. There are to many variables in play. Look at the one year chart on Polester. Now it's one month chart. What's going on? It's confusing. It was down $.36 cents on the week. If you want you can spend $.20 or $.25 on Puts and hope that the company goes under in the next five or six months. They recently raised more money by releasing more shares so it's running out of options. You can't run at a loss forever and this news will most likely scare off potential new car buyers. This actually is a low number of outstanding Put options. The consensus seems to be that it is not game over yet. Lucid started trading this week on a "one-for-ten" reverse stock split.
