Drone Stocks On A Really Bad Day

I did the math. The average one day drop on Friday on these five drone stocks was 13.93%. The D.J.I.A index on that same day was down almost 600 points. I don't play options on any of the stocks in this sector of the market. $Unusual Machines the most expensive of the six dropped down the most at 18.36% It now trades at $26.37. It has weekly options on it. Here are it's thirty and five day charts. What a nice run upwards it had last month. ... Now this. A look at how one series of it's Call options closed out the day. I see something I don't like. It's the small open interest numbers. That to me means poor liquidity whenever it comes time to execute a trade. That plus after such a big recent run upwards you would expect to see higher volumes of option trades. I have often talked about how I like trading $Walmart options because the bids and asks are so tight with instant fills. What about the other mentioned drone stocks on this list? Nvidia Option Trading Which Expire Today

Before we look at what the "Call-and-Put" option prices are on Nvidia going into a Monday morning I want to show you it's five day chart as of it's closing on Friday. It doesn't really tell us all that much except that it could pop on the opening to regain all that it has just lost.
Now it's thirty day chart.
Every couple of weeks it seems to swing by $20.00. Now let's look at the price of the 210 Calls and 210 Puts at the close last Friday that expire today which is a Monday.Yes Nvidia has options expiring today.
How you feel about which way the market is going to open? Catch the action correctly and you could double your money. Now this on Monday morning. Nvidia opened up $.07 cents and kept going up. The chart might look like it was down on the opening however the downward action you see on the chart was in the last ten minutes of Friday's trading.
The stock has jumped so we can now focus on options with a higher striking price, the 217.50 series of Calls which are more reasonable in price to play. If you missed the mornings action and think the stock still has some more upside these ones are now more affordable to play. We are afterall only 34 minutes into the trading session.
Here is a look at both of those series of options one hour and forty minutes later. The stock is going sideways.
Now a reading on Nvidia just after the 3:00 p.m. deadline to get out of these "one-day-option" positions. What a pleasant suprise for the "Call" holders.
A look once again at the 210 series of Calls which have now expired.
So Nvidia had a strong Monday after it tanked in it's previous late Friday afternoon trading session. Smart options traders would have recognized this drop would be quickly discounted on the opening, which it was. Short term option players on Nvidia can sometimes make out like bandits. Option trading on Nvidea can sometimes be a delight.

The next short term options on it expire this Wednesday. On Tuesday this happened. It gave back it's gains.

A Fireside Chat - One Year Options and Thirty Day Options. Which is Better?

Some say to think small, not big. Trying to play Disney options is thinking big. It is a stock slightly out of favor. If we start with it's a three year chart, we will see it is down by about 50% over that period of time. Now it's one year chart. If the stock can break 110 in early 2024 the sky is the limit. It does have a lot of moving parts so anything could happen. Look at these Calls options one year out. One year in options buys a lot of time.They look reasonable. If the stock ever inched up to the $105.00 price level in the three or four months these options would jump up in price by about 50%. Even more if they had really good news. News on Polestar , Lucid (Trading After A Reverse Stock Split) Plus Ford News And Vinfast

Look at the one year chart on Polester. Now it's one month chart. What's going on? It's confusing. It was down $.36 cents on the week. If you want you can spend $.20 or $.25 on Puts and hope that the company goes under in the next five or six months. They recently raised more money by releasing more shares so it's running out of options. You can't run at a loss forever and this news will most likely scare off potential new car buyers. This actually is a low number of outstanding Put options. The consensus seems to be that it is not game over yet. Lucid started trading this week on a "one-for-ten" reverse stock split. Here is its one week chart. It was down $1.39 on the week. It's also going to struggle. Both of these stocks have challenges ahead. On a more positive note here is a chart that looks kind of perky.
