Drone Stocks On A Really Bad Day

I did the math. The average one day drop on Friday on these five drone stocks was 13.93%. The D.J.I.A index on that same day was down almost 600 points. I don't play options on any of the stocks in this sector of the market. $Unusual Machines the most expensive of the six dropped down the most at 18.36% It now trades at $26.37. It has weekly options on it. Here are it's thirty and five day charts. What a nice run upwards it had last month. ... Now this. A look at how one series of it's Call options closed out the day. I see something I don't like. It's the small open interest numbers. That to me means poor liquidity whenever it comes time to execute a trade. That plus after such a big recent run upwards you would expect to see higher volumes of option trades. I have often talked about how I like trading $Walmart options because the bids and asks are so tight with instant fills. What about the other mentioned drone stocks on this list? Short Term Options On $5.00 Stocks Are Dangerous

First let's start with Big Bear Al. Ai stocks in the last couple of weeks have fallen out of favor. Ai stocks are known to suprise.

Now Nio. These options have excellent liquidity and the stock has had a recent earning's report.
The next stock is Hertz which has struggled as of late. It does jump on occassion.
Now a Thursday morning update. 1) BigBear Ai.
2) Nio. Numerous Youtube videos talk about this stock. That doesn't necessarily make it a good buy.
3) Hertz.

What didn't help is that the D.J.I.A. was down 667 points on the day. Now Friday and here is how these three series closed.
The one day drop of 667 points killed everything. Better luck next time. ***Now a next week update. Suprises do happen.

Some say to think small, not big. Trying to play Disney options is thinking big. It is a stock slightly out of favor. If we start with it's a three year chart, we will see it is down by about 50% over that period of time. Now it's one year chart. If the stock can break 110 in early 2024 the sky is the limit. It does have a lot of moving parts so anything could happen. Look at these Calls options one year out. One year in options buys a lot of time.They look reasonable. If the stock ever inched up to the $105.00 price level in the three or four months these options would jump up in price by about 50%. Even more if they had really good news. Yet it's the "what-if" aspect of the equation that castes such a trade in doubt. "What if" stories just don't cut it. There are to many variables in play. Look at the one year chart on Polester. Now it's one month chart. What's going on? It's confusing. It was down $.36 cents on the week. If you want you can spend $.20 or $.25 on Puts and hope that the company goes under in the next five or six months. They recently raised more money by releasing more shares so it's running out of options. You can't run at a loss forever and this news will most likely scare off potential new car buyers. This actually is a low number of outstanding Put options. The consensus seems to be that it is not game over yet. Lucid started trading this week on a "one-for-ten" reverse stock split.
