Suspicions About Market Manipulations - Caterpillar Options On The Opening With Their Last Day To Expiring Options

Caterpillar executives take note. You have leeches using your companies stock to suck out money in a systematic way. Let me explain. It's ingenious what they are doing and at the same time somewhat laughable. In the next couple of paragraphs I am going to show you something that is going to change your thinkings of how you should be looking at the markets. Let's start with Caterpillar chart of last Thursday with Friday being Good Friday and a day the markets are closed. This makes them one day or last day to expiring options. What do you see? I see a stock that sold of on the morning and then rallied and then petered out the rest of the day. Nothing to out of the ordinary one might say. Now this. Unusual Machines - A Look At It's Calls

Lets start with this. A five day look at it's chart.
Just over $14.00 at the start of last week to end just down under $12.00 at the end. Is anything bad with the company happening? Now this.
An open interest of only 17 as of of Friday. Let's fast forward to February 19th.
Here are other drone stocks to watch. They all seem to go up and down together.

Options on ten dollar stocks are difficult to play and it gets more difficult when they are drone stocks. Dragonfly is a Canadian company and I live in Canada so this is one I follow. Here is it's one year chart.
It's dangerous with a book value of only $.85 cents per share.
Do your own homework. A January 10, 2027 Call will cost you $3.40.

Yes there are traders who find value in this proposition. Options like this scare me. Here is how the Febuary 20th 12 series of Calls on Unusual Machines closed the day.

A Fireside Chat - One Year Options and Thirty Day Options. Which is Better?

Some say to think small, not big. Trying to play Disney options is thinking big. It is a stock slightly out of favor. If we start with it's a three year chart, we will see it is down by about 50% over that period of time. Now it's one year chart. If the stock can break 110 in early 2024 the sky is the limit. It does have a lot of moving parts so anything could happen. Look at these Calls options one year out. One year in options buys a lot of time.They look reasonable. If the stock ever inched up to the $105.00 price level in the three or four months these options would jump up in price by about 50%. Even more if they had really good news. Yet it's the "what-if" aspect of the equation that castes such a trade in doubt. "What if" stories just don't cut it. There are to many variables in play. News on Polestar , Lucid (Trading After A Reverse Stock Split) Plus Ford News And Vinfast

Look at the one year chart on Polester. Now it's one month chart. What's going on? It's confusing. It was down $.36 cents on the week. If you want you can spend $.20 or $.25 on Puts and hope that the company goes under in the next five or six months. They recently raised more money by releasing more shares so it's running out of options. You can't run at a loss forever and this news will most likely scare off potential new car buyers. This actually is a low number of outstanding Put options. The consensus seems to be that it is not game over yet. Lucid started trading this week on a "one-for-ten" reverse stock split. Here is its one week chart. It was down $1.39 on the week. It's also going to struggle. Both of these stocks have challenges ahead. On a more positive note here is a chart that looks kind of perky.
